Money Matters for Teens and Adults
May 26, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm PDT

As a teen and young adult, rare is the opportunity where one will be educated about the importance of saving and investing money early in life. Because Americans are more than likely not to be educated about personal finances in school, they take on credit card debt and student loans before they even have an income. As they enter the workforce, employers offer retirement accounts and a benefits package but will not take the time to properly educate individuals on how those accounts and services work or how to maximize them. No matter how old you are, you must establish a solid financial foundation that will last a lifetime.
Training Objectives:
- In this course, attendees will learn about three basic financial concepts and strategies to save money regardless of your age or budget
- The Time Value of Money
- Compounding Interest
- Rule of 72
Instructor: Chantay Moore, MBA Certified Financial Educator (Navajo/African American), Director, Native American Financial Literacy Services
