Webinar: The Coronavirus and Indian Country: COVID-19 Relief
April 8, 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm PDT

In what has been described as the largest rescue package in U.S. history, the federal government is set to dump $2 trillion on the COVID-19 pandemic wracked economy. A giant stimulus package aimed at soothing the fallout from what could be the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression.
Direct payments to millions of Americans, expanded unemployment benefits, loan guarantees to large and small businesses, and financial assistance for hospitals, state, local, and tribal governments are just some of the provisions included in the stimulus package.
So how will this impact Indian Country and what benefits are available to Native families facing financial hardships from lost wages, layoffs, and shutdowns? Tune into this timely webinar that summarizes key features of the stimulus package along with ideas and suggestions for working with Native families who are negatively financially impacted by the crisis.
A must attend webinar for tribal housing staff, Native CDFI’s, and others working directly with individuals and families in Indian Country. Hosted by First Nations Development Institute Programs Consultant, Shawn Spruce.
