Webinar: The Coronavirus and Indian Country: Stock Market Mayhem
April 15, 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm PDT

First Nations Development Institute presents its second of a two-part series of thought provoking webinars on financial impacts of the COVID-19 global pandemic within Native communities.
It’s official. The longest bull market in stock market history ended abruptly last month as two weeks of panic stricken selling wiped out more than $7 trillion of wealth. The average American has suffered more than $20,000 of investment losses not to mention lost wages and other financial hardships from the nationwide pandemic lock down. So when will the carnage end?
Unfortunately, we don’t have a crystal ball to answer that question. However, we can offer interesting insights and ideas for how Native people can weather the financial storm and manage their investments. Whether you have a lifetime of investment contributions in an employer sponsored retirement plan or you are a new investor just getting started this webinar will provide a summary of the current financial crisis along with an analysis of noteworthy trends and observations.
A must attend webinar for tribal housing staff, Native CDFI’s, and others working directly with individuals and families in Indian Country. Hosted by First Nations Development Institute Programs Consultant, Shawn Spruce.
