Celebrating Women Grant Opportunity
April 30 - May 14
We’re excited to present the BMO Celebrating Women Grant Program in collaboration with Deloitte. Fifteen women-owned businesses will receive a $10,000 grant to take their businesses to the next level. We’re looking for women business owners who are motivated by growth and change and are excited to break barriers to achieve success. We recognize that access to funding and capital is a challenge that women business owners often face. BMO is committed to investing in and supporting women-owned businesses and has honored over 236 women since 2012. The BMO Celebrating Women Grant Program will assess applicants based on their high-level business growth plans. Any type of business growth will be considered whether expanding into a new market or creating a new product/service. To be eligible for the BMO Celebrating Women Grant Program, you’ll need to show us your high-level overview of your business growth strategy. You’ll also need to meet specific eligibility criteria as an applicant and business.
Criteria for applicants:

You’re the owner of a business

You’re a resident of the U.S.
-
You’ve reached the legal age of majority in the state where your business resides
Criteria for businesses:

Must be at least 51% owned or controlled by women or by individuals who self-identify as women

Currently active and operating in the U.S. and in accordance with all applicable laws, licenses and regulations

Has a physical location (or a mailing address for their headquarters) in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan*, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas*, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, Wyoming. *Businesses located in Michigan or Texas must be within 100 miles of a BMO full-service retail branch.

Must be a for-profit business with annual revenues of $5 million USD or less

In good standing and operating in the state in which the business is registered

In operation selling a product or service for at least two years as of April 1, 2024
Information to include in your application:
Applications open on April 30, 2024. Here’s what you need to do to apply to the grant program:

Provide basic information about you (the business owner) and your business

Answer a series of short questions about your business growth goals

If you are selected to move forward to round 2, upload a short video of you explaining why business growth is important to you, what your personal motivation is and why you are passionate about this growth goal.
When to apply:
The application portal opens on April 30, 2024 at 8:00 a.m. EST, and closes on May 14, 2024 at 8:00 p.m. EST. You only need to submit ONE application.

We’ve made the application process quick and easy. When you’re ready to start your application, you’ll be directed to the secure platform SurveyMonkey. You’ll need to fill out an application and provide information about your business. When you’ve completed your application, please double-check that you’ve included all relevant information, then submit your application to SurveyMonkey for review.
