Build the knowledge and confidence to prepare for the International Code Council (ICC) Residential Building Inspector (B1) Certification Exam during this intensive three-day training led by nationally recognized Indigenous instructor David Jackson, founder of Code Advisory Group.
Designed specifically with Tribal communities in mind, this hands-on course focuses on understanding—not memorizing—the International Residential Code (IRC). Students will learn how to navigate the code book, interpret tables and figures, and prepare for the open-book ICC certification exam covering Chapters 1–10 of the 2024 International Residential Code.
Whether you work in Tribal housing, planning, construction, inspections, public works, or are looking to advance your career in building safety, this training provides practical skills and personalized instruction to help you succeed.

The ICC Residential Building Inspector (B1) exam is an open-book, online certification exam administered by the International Code Council after completion of the training.
