Nimiipuu Fund Awarded $250,000 Wells Fargo Foundation Grant to Strengthen Tribal Housing Initiatives
Nimiipuu Community Development Fund (Nimiipuu Fund) is honored to announce a $250,000 Rural Funding – Housing Pillar Grant from the Wells Fargo Foundation to support the Nimiipuu Housing Initiatives Fund.
This investment will help expand access to safe, affordable, and sustainable housing for the Nez Perce community. Through this funding, Nimiipuu Fund will partner with the Nez Perce Tribal Housing Authority to improve housing outcomes, increase financial and homeownership education, and strengthen home lending pathways on the Nez Perce Reservation.
“This grant supports our shared vision of building stronger, more resilient Native communities,” said Jonelle Yearout, Executive Director of Nimiipuu Fund. “By expanding opportunities for home repair, rehabilitation, and ownership, we’re helping families create stability and wealth that will benefit future generations.”
The Wells Fargo Foundation’s Rural Funding initiative focuses on advancing equitable housing, economic opportunity, and community development in rural and Native communities across the U.S.
Nimiipuu Fund is proud to continue this important work—empowering individuals and families to build, improve, and sustain homes on their homelands.
